Our Story Began 80 Years Ago
2008 marks the 80th anniversary of Globus showing travelers the world. On a spring day in 1928, while using his family’s rowboat to transport commercial goods across beautiful Lake Lugano, Switzerland, Antonio Mantegazza became inspired to share the stories and legends of his home with others. He soon began transporting tourists (rather than lumber!) around the area and Globus was born. Ever since, we’ve been refining our itineraries and procedures to ensure that you get the most out of your vacation.
