Maine Considered as Location for High-End Vacations - News Story MBPN May 29, 2008 - 90.1FM Portland, Maine
With a slowing economy and rocketing fuel prices, many Mainers probably feel like a luxury holiday is something they cannot afford, but many tour operators insist luxury vacations are no longer the preserve of the super-rich. With careful planning, they argue, many of us could end up on trips to places we'd only dreamt of. Several travel agencies targeted Maine at a recent expo to sell high end vacations to Maine residents. A variety of destinations were on offer, from Europe to the African bush, the Carribean and Down Under, and some from even further afield. Tom Porter interviewed Pam Hurley Moser and Hurley Travel Experts' Luxury Explorers Showcase suppliers. Click here to hear the interview.
