Pamela Hurley Moser is one of 110 Accredited Space Agents with Virgin Galactic and one of only 50 U.S. travel advisors invited to attend the world premier of SpaceShipTwo, the space vehicle developed by Scaled Composites to take private passengers to space.
This exclusive event, hosted by Virgin Founder and Chairman Sir Richard Branson and world-renowned aircraft designer Burt Rutan, took place in Mojave, CA on December 7, 2009. Pam flew to Los Angeles for the unveiling where she met with the test pilots who will be taking SpaceShipTwo into space. She got a project update from Virgin Galactic Operations Team, Spaceport America and had a chance to rub shoulders with Matthew Upchurch, CEO of Virtuoso and Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Galactic (pictured above from left to right).
An expert guest speaker updated her on how the new Obama administration views the commercial space industry, where NASA is headed after the Space Shuttle retires next year and gave her the rundown on exciting initiatives like Space Based Solar Power. Click here for the official news release.

 This month, Hurley Travel Experts in Portland is offering specials to Iceland, Thailand, and.....suborbital space. Owner Pamela Hurley-Moser is one of 50 travel consultants in the U.S. chosen as an Accredited Space Agent for Virgin Galactic, which is offering rides into space for a ticket price of just $200,000 dollars.
Pamela Hurley-Moser will be on hand in Mohave, California, when Virgin founder and Chairman Sir Richard Branson and aircraft designer Burt Rutan unveil SpaceShip Two, now in its final stages of development. As the only accredited agent for Virgin Galactic in Maine, Hurley-Moser says she's been fielding a lot of questions lately.
Virgin Galactic says about 300 people from around the world have paid nearly $40 million in deposits to guarantee spots aboard SpaceShip Two, which will be unveiled next Monday in Mohave California.
